Kansas City Chiefs Confirm Alleged Abuse Claims Connected to Player Rashee Rice
The Kansas City Chiefs released a comment Wednesday night indicating they are aware of claims of abuse circulated in online accounts by a ex-partner of player the athlete and were in communication with the league office.
The organization did not mention Rice specifically in their announcement and noted they would have “nothing more to add at this time”.

Dacoda Nichole Jones, who likewise did not name the athlete directly, posted a set of images on social media that appeared to show indicators of bodily harm. She stated the person involved was the parent of her kids, and reports indicate she has kids with the football player, whom the Chiefs selected in the 2023 draft.

No police reports were on file in Overland Park, Kansas where the alleged abuse is said to have taken place.
Player's Recent Legal Issues
The receiver was absent for the initial part of this NFL campaign following an NFL suspension for his involvement in instigating a crash on a Texas roadway that left multiple people hurt. Rice was given a month of incarceration and five years’ probation after entering a guilty plea to serious offenses.
Statistically, he finished the season with 53 catches for 571 receiving yards and five touchdowns as the Kansas City finished with a losing record and failed to qualify for the postseason for the first time in a ten-year span.
